My 12 year old is waiting for diagnosis ... But where do I stand with school

Hi

im new to all this I just don't know where else to turn for advice

my son is 12 and at secondary school we are waiting for diagnosis for ASD

my son has NO educational needs just social and emotional ones as well as anxiety. He also is a lover of routines etc - you know the score!!

these needs were were highlighted by primary as a problem and possible ASd and we are going to panel in 2 months for diagnosis

The secondary school have said they had no idea he has any problems ( he is struggling with behaviour and anxiety) I have told them on more tHan one occasion about him waiting for a diagnosis.

i have told the Senco and his tutor more than once. Nothing has been done to help him.

I am going again on Tuesday to chat about his behaviour and I will tell them againthat I am waiting for diagnosis.

what should I be saying to them to make them listen?

Where am I going wrong?

can they help him without the diagnosis ?

Thanks x
