  • Write to the head, copied to the chair of Governors, requesting a copy of the school's disability equality scheme and a statement of their understanding of someone with autism.

    Something needs to be said when a school doesn't comprehend that a child in their care might need quiet time under stress, autistic spectrum or otherwise.

    I don't think it matters whether your son is diagnosed or pending diagnosis. They should have some strategy in place to be supportive.

    They sound like a bunch of little Hitlers. But I think at this time what you need from them is a statement they understand about disability needs including autism.
