problems with ta

h

my 5 year old is  having a few issues at school and i wondered if anyone could offer advice, in the last week my daughter has refused to walk across the carpet in her classroom and opts to soit in the corner, this was discussed with myself and the onoly theory anyone could come up with was that maybe she saw the carpet as dirty as i child had been sick on it thw week before, after much discussion it was decided tjat we wou;d leave my daughter be but if anything was mentioned by herself then we would look into it, my daughter told me herself several times that the carpet was dirty so i reasoned that this was why she would not walk on the carpet, at school the following day i informed her teacher what my daughter had told me but this was met by resistance from the class ta who informed me that " this happened last week and she was fine, i dont think this is the problem do you, because i am sure that it is not?" to say i was upset is an understatement as first i am being spoken to with contempt and almost shouted at, and secondly that this ta thinks she knows my child better than i do, i dont know what to do, the ta has since avoided me but does seem rather abrupt with my daughter as though she is just putting up with her behaviour,

  • hi,

tried talking to teacher today but was a different one from before, ( they change teachers every couple of days) she seemed confused as to what was going on ( i dont think they communicate with each other) , from what i have been told they are continually trying to get my daughter to cross the carpet but still no joy, the teachers stands by the ta's suggestion that there is nothing wrong and has suggested that maybe my daughter is fussy and acting out for attention.
