discrimination

My son Ryan is 8 and has autism he joined  the school choir in September now they have told me he cannot take part in a competition they are entering because he may not copy with the setting but I feel it is because they don't want the hassle of his needs he goes to a main stream school can anybody advise me on what I should do fihht  or let it go .

    Perhaps you could take him along to watch and support his choir to begin with. Then you and he can see whether he really wants to take part and compete.

    It may be that he suffers sensory overload when the choirs get going. He may not enjoy it?
