statemented not happening

Hi I have to apply for a school for Joshua who has adhd and asperger, school now also think he may have Tourette's. Before the school holidays school decided to wait for him to get a statement until September when the new system started. This has been and gone also I just got an EP and as soon as I got her she decided to retire and I'm told their is no one to replace her. I am in a pickle as I don't know what to do, I've been told he has to apply for mainstream but he can't cope but what can I do if  school keep fobbing me off to get him statemented

  • Might be better to start a new thread as you've appended this to one listed under "statemented not happening".

To create a new thread go to the "education matters" section, and look for "start a new topic". This creates a new blank thread which you provide a title for, and your question. The set up is often confusing for people unfamiliar with the site, so you are not unusual in starting on an existing thread.

The Moderators if you flag it up to them, can reaily create a new thread from your existing question on your behalf. I've added a feedback to that effect, so hopefully they will pick up.

Also quite concerned that no-one responded to the original poster avy over a month ago (and have flagged to moderators). It can happen someone asks a question and nobody notices it, or they cannot think of a response. Possibly not everyone knows that an EP is (I assume) an educational psychologist. Also avy has not really asked a question, albeit a question is implied at the end. Perhaps avy needs to contact her Local Authority Education Department, or if there is a parents group in her area, or an area nearby, ask them for advice.
