Diagnosis

Hi, I'm looking for advice on where to go for a potential diagnosis for my 6yr old daughter please? I've heard nhs wait lists are years long, and having been through the process with my son a long time ago, I would rather not wait years. I would like somewhere reputable, preferably with a diagnosis that is recognised by education authorities and NHS, if possible. Any advice would be great, thank you

  • Hi, 2 of my children have been on our local CAMHS waitlist since last year for an autism assessment and the waiting list is over 2 years. I decided to ask our GP to send a referral to an nhs right to choose provider instead. There are alot of companies that are funded by the NHS to assess both children and adults and have a lot shorter waiting lists. If you search for NHS right to choose - info should come up with further information and what you need to do. My son has just recently been assessed and we only waited 12 weeks.
