Is physical aggression when a child feels things aren’t going their way common in Autism

My Son is ten and if we tell him I can’t do something he wants to or tell him he has to do something he doesn’t want to he lashes out physically, we are getting help with this but is this common with Autism?

    Understanding behaviours in autistic individuals can be quite the process, although, it is true to say that there is a great deal of research and written work to help  provide a generalised overview for how we might provide support and understanding.
