Relocation help advise

Hi,

New here.

I'm a single autistic mum to 3 Autistic, ADHD and or PDA. One of my children have Albinism and is also partially blind. 

My local GP, CAHMS and support system is VERY lacking.

So is our housing stock.

Basically I am terrified of what will happen to me and my children if no one starts to listen to me.

My eldest despises my youngest and is violent with her. Also said some things very upsetting. I keep bringing this up and nothing is happening. Our house is WAY to small and we're all suffocating each other. 

I have been thinking about relocating to a more suitable place that actually has a Autism support group nearby. 

Unfortunately my knowledge of council housing and housing associations are lacking does anyone know who or where I can go to get help to relocate?

  • I am not sure if you are in Social Housing. If so the local council may have a swap scheme where you look for someone who wants to downsize and swap. 

    If you are in private rental and looking for social housing, I only know about the area I live in and it is difficult to get on the waiting list. You could contact your local Council and ask them. If you wanted to move to another area they may only consider you if you have a link like working in that area.

    If you Google housing list and Citizens Advice Bureau you will find advice online from the CAB.
