Toothpaste

Hi there, any recommendations/ strategies to help my little one who is having sensory difficulty with mint toothpaste. At the moment we are still using the young strawberry toothpaste. I have bought ones with no flavour and a watermelon flavour but they cannot tolerate either.  As they get older, I will be running out of supermarket options suitable for their age. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks in advance.

  • There was a thread recently where a group of us adults were discussing having problems getting a toothpaste we could tolerate, including me. At the moment the only one I've found that I can use is Sainsbury's Stamford Street one, which is a mild mint flavour. But if your little one cannot tolerate any mint flavour, why not continue with the strawberry one?

  • I bought lots of different ones after this previous thread but didn’t have much luck with them. They all tasted pretty unpleasant. I didn’t try the Zing one - so that might possibly worth trying. I just decided I couldn’t keep spending so much money doing such extensive toothpaste research!

  • Thank you for your reply. It is tricky, I worry about their teeth. I will take a look at zing.  Yes I have spoken to the dentist and so far he just says not to worry and keep on with the strawberry one. But I may need another discussion as my child is getting older now. Thank you, I hope you find something suitable for you and your family.
