Help for secondary school children

Hello my name is Lorna Sparks and I am 18 years old. I am currently studying for my a-levels at a secondary school in Leicestershire. One of the subjects I have chosen to take for my a-levels is design and technology. It involves producing a folder of work that involves designing and making a new product.

For my final project I have decided to design and make a product that will help a child with autism learn or make their day at secondary school easier.  I have read many books and been on many web pages explaining about autism but I feel that to make a product that could really help children it is best to talk to parents about what they personally think would be best for their child.

I hope that when I have finished the product I can donate it to my school so they can hopefully put the product into use with children. Therefore I feel it must meet the standards that every parent would expect and want for their child.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and any help or feed back would be very much appreciated. If you are interested in completing a questionnaire or getting involved further please please get in touch, your help will be amazing and help me so much. Thanks again.

  • Hi Lorna,

Afraid we've got some pretty tight restrictions around surveys here due to our policy on only allow post-graduate research, as otherwise we get swamped.

However if you'd like to share some questions or let people know what you've got planned I'm sure people could chip in with ideas in this discussion.
