Rough housing/hitting/teasing advice pls

Hi.

My ds12 (poss aspergers) is teasing and hitting (not through anger but teasing/being annoying) his siblings. Would love some ideas on how to deal with it please if anyone has any suggestions. He does it if he gets overexcited (like if we are about to go somewhere or we have visitors) Or just sometimes for seemingly no reason. it's not constant but it is more than several times a day at home. Ranging from low grade to quite persistent. Running out of ideas for dealing with it. Any advice much appreciated. Thank you.

  • He clearly has difficulty placing the line between acceptable and unacceptable social interaction and banter. Whereas a child with an ASV experiences abnormal social interaction from their "peers" (in the playground, on the street after school etc), they percieve this as the norm as incorperate such into their own social behavour. It seems necessary to explore the social world your child inhabits outside the home in order to detect who is teaching him these undesirable behaviours.
