Hi, how can I ask for NAS help with this council policy and the impact its having on my son and I and parents and children with autism in general please?

  • Hi thank you for passing my question on.

    In summary my son has SEN transport to a special school placement appointed by the council. Unfortuately they are insisting my son can not be delivered to my childminder three days a week only to my home address. The pick up and drop off times mean that without use of a childminder its impossible to sustain my employment. My son has a very close relationship with his childminder and him going there three times a week has been his routine for a long time. Alot of work my myself and other agenices have been put in to making this a smooth transition for my son and now his starting next week and I've been left in the position of disrupting everything and possibly having to put myself out of work which will put us in extreme hardship. Any help or advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
