Participants wanted: Cross syndrome comparisons of the online experiences of children and young people

Note: This account only posts external research that has been approved by the NAS research team.

I am seeking participants for a study which forms part of my PhD, supervised by Professor Deborah Riby and Dr Amy Pearson. This study focuses on the online experiences and behaviours of children and young people with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome and Williams syndrome, in order to inform future online safety efforts for these groups.

Participants should be the parents/carers of autistic children/young people aged 9-25 years and are asked to fill in a 15-20 minute survey regarding their child/young person’s internet activity, online experiences, and their experiences keeping young people safe online. Participants are able to enter a prize draw for a £50 voucher on completion of the survey.

Young people should live in the UK and should never have attended university, participants should be aware that the survey contains references to some sensitive topics.
