Hello, our 7 year old son was referred for both Autism and ADHD assessment via Right to Choose, or so I thought, but it appears the GP has somehow referred us to both a Right to Choose provider and NHS.
I got a letter through asking if we would like him to attend a One Day Autism* Assessment Clinic being trialled by the NHS ND Service. When I called to ask what the waiting times would be, they said that it would be a couple of months, rather than the usual 6/7 years. This is similar to the RtC estimated wait. I don't think we're supposed to be on both lists, so was wondering if anyone had tried the new One Day Clinic model, and whether they'd choose that over the Right to Choose dual assessment. Any advice would be welcome! Thanks in advance.
[*I'm not sure why the NHS hasn't accepted the ADHD part of the assessment, so the NHS clinic would be for Autism only.]
