My 17 year old has finally received their ASD diagnosis, and the paediatrician has recommended the Social Story Book by Carol Gray. Does anyone have experience of this book, is it helpful to older teens? It is quite expensive on Amazon and I am reluctant to buy it unless it is likely to be attractive to my demand avoidant young person. If not they won’t even pick it up. I don’t have a lot of faith in the paediatrician as he did not seem to understand my child so I wouldn’t be surprised if he has recommended something irrelevant to us.
