  • Hi stacey my son has always had food drink issues. When he was small he was a bit overweight from about age 6 till he got to about 15. Then he decided to eat healthy. No eating inbetween meals. He lost weight but went too far. I kept telling him he didnt need to lose any more weight but he carried on. I made him weigh himself and he went down to 9 stone and he is 5ft 10.  It took a while for it to sink in then he started to eat better and now he weighs 10 stone 10. He  still has obsessions but I let him get on with it. Some are healthy some arent. Obviously if it was something that would harm him ( like salt) then I would step in. But at the moment its frozen water bananas and jammie dodgers. We have just got over tinned tuna. One tin on a sandwich and another tin to eat. It can last for weeks then suddenly he goes onto something else. Also food he has always eaten he will suddenly take a dislike to aswel. We recently went through the I dont like potatoes anymore. So he ended up eating rice with most things. Keep ur chin up I cant say it gets better but it gets easier to understand and u get used to it. I always say lifes never dull in my house.xx
