pushchairs

I'm looking for advice on special needs buggys, my son is 3yrs 6mnts but is quite tall. Normal buggys don't suit him anymore as he doesn't like being down low in amongst people. He will go mostly anywhere in a buggy as he can shut himself out.

My problem is that I have been told they are no longer supplied free, if I have to pay for one I would prefer it to last and not be too expensive.

Can anyone recommend the best place to look?

Thanks

  • hi,

My son also has AS, dyspraxia and he has hypermobility so i understand how tired they get. He is now 16. please contact physio or OT services as they gave me buggies when he was small and wheelchairs since he was 6.

Hope this helps in the future when your son is too big for the buggy you have found.

  • Hi

Yes, I got my Maclaren Major off ebay for £100. Still quite pricey but worth it as my son also has hypermobility so gets tired more easily.  It has been a godsend I must say as we have got through 4 buggies as he is quite tall for his age!
