Plus, it could provide reinforcement / a prompt - for when your amazing girl may not be feeling at her best - but wants to think things over again (at her own pace) and then come back to you and maybe use the story again with you - to make it a bit easier for her to let you know which of the topics is still worrying her the most at the time:

My advice was going to be a social story too. If she's having sensory issues with them she may feel more comfortable in period pants than having to use pads etc but that's personal preference.

Ah. That's an area I haven't had experience with so I wouldn't know how best to advise. I wonder if there are any parental support groups in your area? Obviously there's a wealth of knowledge from people on here. But if there were any parents local to you that have been in a similar situation might be really helpful to you.
