My step daughter has had issues at her playgroup and was turning around negative behaviour which seemed to blow up from now where in acts of agression...so went up to her first primary school in October 2013 parttime 1 hr to start everyday and was to progress to fulltime this june 2014 we had met school and informed both verbally to headmaster how she can be as she was being assessed by many groups in the early learning system and from the greats support of the playgroup leader all support and reports and notes to help with transistion went up with her..... To Say its failed I feel is an understatement I've lost count of times ive been been called to collect her within her 2 hrs stay and that being told she will not  progress to even dinner time by June now!!!! Help!!!!! They are talking maybe not full time sept?????? She needs a education!!!???

  • Hi - what an awful situation for both of you.  Has she got a statement of educational needs which would entitle her to support at school?  If not apply yourself straight away.  There's info via the home pg + also a lot of posts about it.  You may also want to consider how long you tolerate the school + its attitude.  Have you thought about checking out other schools, inc. austism-specific ones, or ones with autism units attached to them?  You don't want this situation going on for longer than absolutely necessary.  Good luck with everything Smile
