Hi everyone.
I have just joined because we have a severe problem.
I have a 3-year-old autistic great grandson. My Granddaughter, my daughter and myself each have a vehicle with a car seat. For the past couple of weeks he has mastered all three and escapes out of all of them. This is very dangerous, as you can imagine. He is very clever (even at 3) at easily working out things and how they work. First he takes his arms out of the shoulder straps immediately. Then after 10 seconds of driving he presses the red button and comes straight out. So now we just watch before we drive.
We have looked at "Buckle Upp" which goes over the button but it fastens with velcro which he can remove easily. We have also looked at a seat from John Lewis called the Cybex Pallas B3 i-size but need to try it with him in before purchase to see if he can master this. But, alas, no John Lewis's near us. Far away ones would need a trip with him in the car which is a no no because of the problem.
Has anyone else got this problem? If so, how do you cope? Thanks all in advance.
