Study on adults with learning disabilities

My name is Shylet Njanike. I am a postgraduate research student with Glasgow University and am looking to recruit participants for a research study which is focused on Black African families of adult people with learning disabilities who live at home in the United Kingdom. The adults with learning disabilities will be 18years old and above and living at home. Adults who are autistic but also have a learning disability can participate in the study. The study will also include adult people with conditions such as Down's Syndrome and other conditions classed as learning disabilities. The research aims to conduct interviews to gain more understanding of the needs of the families of people with learning disabilities or Down's Syndrome and the other conditions as mentioned. The study seeks to interview parents, family carers or the adult people with learning disabilities or Down's Syndrome and other conditions classed as learning disabilities who live at home.  The study aims to recruit participants from across Scotland and England, and participants will be offered a £30 token for giving up their time to take part in the research study. Study flyers are included for contact information.

The researcher can be contacted by email at the following email address: S.Njanike.1@research.gla.ac.uk

Thanking you in advance.
