Coaching for exam revision

Revision coaching: anyone tried online coaching or similar for exam time? Not yet diagnosed but v likely ASD/ADHD daughter really struggles with executive functioning ie planning and initiating tasks and I’m starting to worry about GCSEs next year. She’s bright and so far that’s got her by but I’m finding it hard to know how to help her with this and hiding my frustration that she can’t “just sit down and do some work”. would appreciate any advice.

  • Hi! I'm a special education tutor, so speaking from experience I can tell you that distant learning may not be the best option in your case. ADHD will probably make it impossible for your daughter to concentrate.

A special education home tutor who could make an individualized plan for her, taking into account her educational needs, her strengths and personality would be the best option. Also, if I was you I would try not to worry too much, because your daughter will sense that and get anxious herself.

I'm sure that with the right help, she'll reach her potential. Slight smile
