Support for motor development in autistic children

Are you the parent of an autistic child who has tried to get support for their motor development?  Are you a physiotherapist or occupational therapist who works with autistic children or young people to support their motor development? We’d love to hear from you!

We are from University of Edinburgh and are conducting research to understand what support for motor development in autistic children and young people currently looks like and what gaps exist. We hope this can contribute towards the development of neuro-affirming support in the future.

Participating in this study involves completing a brief (approx. 30 mins) interview on the phone, on Teams, or in writing. We are happy to send the questions to you in advance. If you are interested or have any questions please contact Dr Samantha Friedman: samantha.friedman@ed.ac.uk
