I have a 12yr od with Aspergers with Depression and ocd addad to the mix. I had a partnerwho lived in a seperate house (he had a son with ADHD), and we decided it would cause less disruption for the boys if we stayed in our own houses, especially when my boyfriend was diagnosed with terminal cancer. We kept things as seperate as we could, whilst still being a support for each other.
Any way, my son had met him a few times and had absolutly adored him. I had told him that my partner was terminally ill, but I just can't find the words to tell him he died.
My boy has only recently started on sertraline and has had a significant improvement in his mood and anxieties I really don't want to upset him and cause problems as he has just started to settle back in at school. I am trying so hard to hold it together, does any one have any ideas as to how I can approach this
