Playing on stairs

My Son who’s 8 is either sliding down the stairs with a duvet on blanket over his head or trying to climb on my back or shoulders on the stairs. Any idea why this could be and what might help please?

  • I did this and probably worse things when I was his age. Most children do because it's fun and exciting, they don't see the danger and unfortunately it usually takes a bruise or two before they realise it isn't fun and hurts.

My favourite as a child was playing in the kitchen, climbing on the sides and being silly. My mum kept saying you'll fall off and be sorry. I did one day, suddenly it wasn't fun anymore and I stopped.

Keep warning him and telling him no like all parents do and he should learn and grow out of it. Most of us do.
