15 year old verbally lashing out

We have a 15 year old in a mainstream secondary school. Started there Sept 24.

She’s found the entire transition difficult to cope with.

She is clearly stressed in the school environment so we are trying very hard to support her and sort it out,

She has an EHCP.

issue is she is becoming upset for whatever reason and telling the other child involved in the reason to ‘go kill themselves’ or making personal comments about their anatomy.

this is of course not acceptable but no one is really sure what to do.
School tried having her meet with their attached police officer but wasn’t successful.

sadly a cycle has come about and other kids are now noticing how easily is upset and antagonising her.

Worringly she also thinks they are doing something when they aren’t.

any advice appreciated as we only want to help

we are working on changing schools to specialist

thanks!

  • I get why the school is alarmed at her telling another pupil to go and kill themselves, what with general amount of violence and knife carrying in schools. But, she's 15 and 15 year old girls have other things going on with them that effect thier behaviour, hormones, my NT daughter, was a horrible screaming mess of hormones when she was 15, her mood was constantly up and down like a yoyo, it did settle down after about a year or so. Your daughter is obviously having some problems and so is the school and I think you're right to try and move her, but, remember that there are other things going on in her body that might be contributing factors.
