any social groups in south west of London for high functioning ASD teens?

My 17 yo son is going to university in south west of london sometime next year. We live in a tropical country and it will be his first time to live oversea. He is very anxious about going there that he won't be able to make any friends in the university and end up being lonely. My son is very social. He loves Lego, anime, games and explore new places. If anyone know places where he can join social clubs in London, I would be appreciative. Sorry for my English..it isn't my first language but my son speaks perfect English.

Have you tried asking the university's Students Union? They will probably have better knowledge of social clubs that your son could join.

Yes, my son is planning to join once he is in the university however, we will be there before the uni starts. He is very nervous being alone there, so I like to have some friends before the attending the university.

In that case, I'm not sure what else to suggest other than to maybe contact the university directly. It's possible that they will know of any social groups and clubs both on and off campus, or be able to find out for you (and your son).
