Hi all I've recently joined this group. I was wondering if any of could recommend the best ear defenders. We believe my daughter has sensory issues we are currently talking to the health visitor for help and advise.

Hello, I brought a pair from a local DIY shop and they work fine for me. There are so many out there but if you put autism in the title then the price increases! Mine are just standard ear defenders that are good quality and are four years old and still in good condition.

If you can afford them, noise cancelling headphones might do your daughter better. They can produce a background white noise that can reduce outside sound, while allowing her to hear whatever she wants to listen to on her phone, if she has one. If your phones have data plans that can connect to wifi anywhere, you can use apps like Skype or Discord to be in a free call with your daughter, so that she'll be able to hear you while blotting everything else out.
