Pain

Chloe, my daughter, has had pain in her wrists, knees and legs for years now. She can't describe the pain, but says it is pain not an ache. It comes and goes quickly and suddenly, most of the time.

We have been to the doctors and the hospital but they say it is growing pains. She stopped growing years ago. If they didn't say it was growing pains, they would say they don't know and to come back in a few months time if it continues. We've been in this position for years.

The last time we visited someone was last year. She said to come back in 6 months time. Since then, Chloe has just refused. Point blank refused no matter how hard I persuade her. She does this because she believes they will just continue saying the same old thing, growing pains or come back another time.

I don't know what to do. Does anyone else experience any random pain and what do you do? We have tried painkillers, ice packs, knee splints, wrist splints, etc. I'm at my wits end now. I can't let her suffer in pain anymore especially without knowing what is causing it.

If anyone has any idea on what to do, it is appreciated.

Thanks,

Lucy

  • Some people say they find CBD oil helpful for pain. I have only used the capsules for anxiety, and they do seem to help me with that, but sometimes pain can be caused by tension due to anxiety. Maybe ask a pharmacist about CBD or other natural remedies, particularly if she is going to take something in addition to normal painkillers.
