Hello,
So, background first. My child has recently been approved for an EHCP report for possible Autism. He has seen nunerous health care professionals during this process who have all said they suspect he is on the spectum. We did this through his Nursery at the time.
The problem I am having now is that I can't seem to find anybody that will refer us for an Autism assessment. The health care professionals who have done our assesments cannot refer us and I have been to our GP 3 times asking to be referred. Each time I was told they could not do that because they couldn't observe my child for a long enough time to see it for themselves. I have showed them the EHCP report and still got turned down.
My child only started a new school recently and I not sure what to do?
