Asperger's syndrome

Hi, my name is Wendy and my 20 year old son has just been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome  just over a week ago.

we are finding things really difficult as a family at the moment as our son has some very complex issues at the moment,I would just like to talk to any other mums in the same position, anyone who is dealing with any challenging behaviours.

       I have two sons diagnosed with Aspergers, one with challenging behaviours of a more abusive nature and one who experiences quite frequent panic attacks. I'd be happy to chat with you, but like you we are experiencing great struggles. Somewhat exaserbated by the lack of post 16 support for youth/young adults in our area. I'm not sure I can answer any queries, but i will try my best.
