Recently went for my son's review meeting with the paediatrician. She is now referring us to child and family services. Has anyone else been referred to them? What should i expect from them?

Yes, we have been. We live in Scotland so I don't know if that makes a difference.
My 2.5 year old son has a dx of severe autism with hypermobility. He is also non-verbal. The team has been very supportive. They did the following for us - arranged a pre-school outreach teacher to come to our home every 2 weeks to work with our son, they assisted with the paperwork to get his name/place on the special pre-school nursery programme in our area. They helped me find a local special needs friendly music group with other tots that our son could go to without being potentially judged or labelled. They also offered our family emotional support and are in the process of helping us with potential financial support.
I have found the team so far to be a great resource. I felt very apprehensive when our Consultant referred us but so far it has been one of the few positive things that has kept us going through difficult times.
