Hello,
I hope you are all well.
My daughter Amber is 14. She has autism and a developmental delay. The school she attends is hopeless with regards to support for Amber.
Recently amber's not been going in to school at all. I had a s chat with her. She said she doesn't feel comfortable in school.
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas how to get Amber still studying but in a way that's helpful to her?
I have referred Amber to some places. However there is an organization called enable. Enable can help Amber with a befriending service. There is so much more. They said because Amber has an allocated social worker, we need to get funding.
I contacted the social worker who never replied.. I then contacted his team leader. The team leader said he would look into it but has since said to use the support that are in place.
I honestly feel like it's me and the kids against the world.
I look forward to hearing from you about anything you think could help!
Thank you,
Suzanne
