Our son is 5, bilingual (English - Japanese) and high functioning autistic. We are a year away from starting full time education. We are thinking about moving house to be in the cachement area for a school with smaller class sizes. To do this, we may need to live in a place without great transport links. Our boy is good on his bike, generally has good road sense and has a good sense of direction. Of course every case is different, but does anyone know the likelihood as to whether he will be able to get around safely on his own by bike or car? I'd be grateful for any advice.
