My year 10 daughter is on the autism pathway (1 year in to assessment process). We have been denied statutory assessment and are going to mediation. At the pre-mediation meeting it was suggested getting an austism specialist teacher to make an assessment of her in the school. Our LA doesn't appear to have a specialist teacher and the school SENCO does not know how to access one. Is this not part of statutory provision. Where do I go next?
