State school refusing to admit

Hi all, I'm new on here. Was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with mainstream Academies who have/are refusing to admit child with ASD into y7, even when it is named in part 4 of a finalised SEN? Many thanks

  • It's not for year 5, what's a DC?

It's a complicated situation, but with both my children there have been a lot of school problems, one is due a statement review (which I called early) and if they can't sort out her school issues then I will have to look at alternative schools.  The other one has been offered a place (changing school due to difficulties) but the new school is wording things as if the place isn't cut and dried because of her SEN (awaiting to see in the next few days if a statement will be given) even though I had a letter from admissions offering the place and I accepted it.  In both cases they are state schools but I potentially may need to look at independent schools if things don't work out.
