eating concerns

Hi all, im new to this site and am looking for some advice or tips:

My 3 year old son was diagnosed with ASD sept 2013, we have many issues were currently working on such as his lack of emotion, tantrums lack of social skills all of which we can manage and dont bother us as such however his eating concerns me greatly, hes turned 3 in nov 2013 and believe it or not he refuses anything solid as such, he still eats the baby jars aimed for 12- 24month olds, my health visitor and pead have said not to worry about this however i cant shake the worry away, the foods he eats are ALL orange or yellow in colour and no matter how much blending or secretly adding we do he notices it and refuses to eat altogether.
I worry about his nutrition and the fact he is to begin nursery this year on a full time basis which means being fed on site, we know already this is going to be problematic as he does not feed himself and refuses to be fed by anyone other than myself and his father, even his gran who he sees everyday is not tolerated at meal times.

Im just wondering if anyone else is or has gone through this and if it ever gets any easier in regards to feeding i worry he'll be starting school aged four and needing to come home from school at dinner for baby food
