Moving Home

Hi, 

I'm new to all this But right now I'm finding things very hard with my 5 year old son who is Autistic. We are moving Monday to a bigger house, I have tried my best to prepare my son by talking him through it and bringing him to the house. The last two days he has been extremely hyper and very naughty/disobedient. He normally gets like this when things are going on but not to this extent. He won't sleep, listen, behave at all. All he wants to do is play the computer (which is one of his obsessions) which I have stopped him going on because of the bad behavier. However I think I am just making things worse. Does anyone know how I can deal with him at this point. Its very hard packing and dealing with him and his sister. Should i just let him play computer if thats what makes him happy?

    Thanks for replying so quick.. Luckily he will be staying with a family member the day we move but even that is hard for him. I guess I underestimate how much he struggles sometimes, then something like this happens and it makes me realise. We have only had his diagnosis for a few weeks so like I said it is all new. I will try the social story book. I did do one for him for when we had visitors round and it did seem to help that situation. I will let him on the computer for a while and at least he might not lash out at his sister for a while :-/
