Can prozac help my son

My son says he thinks that his depression is kind of a byproduct of having autism so his depression isn't clinical is what I mean..his depression caused by the fact he has autism..thi being the case can taking prozac deal with that? I've steered clear of medication as he has some funny sleep patterns and I was worried he would take too much or not enough  etc at the right time..I live with him I'm his mum don't know I just if anyone else had had to put there child on prozac ?

  • Hello.  I suppose some people on the forum may be able to answer with a "yes" or "no" to the question you have raised.....(mine is a no btw) .... but if you are looking for actual ADVICE on these matters, I am afraid that people probably won't engage with you.....due to rule 13 of the forum, or if they do, I suspect the MODS will jump in and put a stop to it.
