New member,

does anyone have any experience with a relative in seclusion, how long they were in & how you got them out?

my son has been in seclusion for 499 days. & the trust refuse to let us see or make any attempts to move him into the general ward.

any advice welcome

Question. Has there been a legal determination regarding his mental compitence? Has the hospital applied for a deprivation of liberty permision from the local authority? I think the best thing I can do is ask you to read this https://www.dgt.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/deprivation-liberty-safeguards-dols

If the hospital Hasn't sectioned him or applied for a deprivation of liberty they could be breaking the law by secluding him. Consider seeking legal advice.
