My little boy

Hi im lynsey and im a 35year old mum to a little boy aged 6 who has SPD PTUI along side other learning development problems too, he is the most loving funny kind little boy but he struggles on a daily basis and has to have daily routine, i also have to make him aware of whats now and next aswel as his school have now referred himself to calms aswel but as a-lot are aware its a long waiting list to be seen but his school and support learners in school are 100% that he is infact autistic and may have other asd aswel!

He struggles to play with other children aswel as he struggles to understand most of anything thats explained to himself which makes daily learning harder for him aswel as when listening to adults instructions,

he struggles daily with school ans learning so now has more support and teachers in place and they have also agreed to use visuals within school aswel as that i have purchased the tom percival books to read to him aswel as they cover alot of what hes feeling amd going through emotinaly

ive also applied for groups that i can attend to aswel as my son im awaiting on my own final assesment to determing if what they feel about myself is in fact autisum

is there any parents that are on the spectrum aswel as having children aswel if so how do yous find that balance for both yourself and uour children

  • you are doing great job mom ,

and yes my child is in the waiting list for Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis .

I’m not surprised because I asked for the check as soon I arrived to the UK , I knew my child was autistic since he was 11 months old . Now he is 3

I heard waiting lists can take forever to get the diagnosis.. but the most important part is you taking him to all the appointments and play groups in your area Centre always ask around and read about Autism , you will find everything manageable eventually .
