Friday morning, our area woke up with no water due to the storm. We are all struggling but my eldest the most, routines have gone out the window.
Schools were closed on Thursday. Friday they were closed due to no water. My eldests was open because hers is miles away and wasn't effected.
Friday, it took her over 2 hours to get to school on the bus, due to the traffic because everyone is going to checkpoints where they are giving bottle water. Traffic was hideous, the worst. She coped extremely well and went into school smiling and had our meeting, no problems.
She can't have showers, she can't wash (because she will only wash in the shower), she can't brush her teeth without water (she is brushing her teeth but really struggles), can't flush the toilet so now she isn't going (and it's her time of the month which is making this even for difficult), she is not drinking much because she needs to drink the bottled water which isn't too nice, most shops are shut, we cant wash clothes (so thats a nightmare itself especially because she wants to wear certain outfits), dishwasher doesnt work (so she fears about jerms and things not being washed properly so she is struggling to eat). I could go on and on...
I don't know how to help her as such because this is not in our control. If anyone has any ideas how we can make this slightly easier, it is massively appreciated. Thanks in advance
