My daughter has just received her appointment for her first assessment with the paediatric team for next month. However my community nurse has said this isn't the final stage before diagnosis and after this appointment there will be another with the Child Development Centre which will then have diagnosis to follow. Can anyone who has been through a similar situation for toddler or young child advise me what will happen at this stage and what to expect. I'm a little confused and overwhelmed at all the information and I can't find anything online to give me a definitive answer. She was referred via health visitor to community nurse, who then referred for assessment.
