Getting 3 year old dressed

My 3 year old hates every moment of getting dressed and seems to be becoming more averse to everything. With getting dressed I give him warnings and try and get him as involved as possible in the process but he still whines every time  before. He now hates having showers which was the one thing he used to be ok with and wants to get out straight away and I’m not sure what’s changed. He also hates brushing his teeth so at one point he used to do it himself but now we are having to do it and he hates it Ive tried different toothpastes different brushes but no difference does anyone have any ideas on how we can make this easier as I am really struggling to stay patient. 

  • My daughter likes to have her bath colder than most people would be comfortable with as she’s got bigger, have you tried different temperatures? Have you tried a tub in the shower to use as a bath if you don’t have a bath? My daughter has never gone near a shower she hates getting her head and face wet (as do I, I’m not getting in a lukewarm or cool bath though!). She is still a bit of a pain to get dressed. If she’s indoors especially in summer she’ll usually just wear knickers but is old enough to understand she needs clothes on to go out. Is he able to tell you why he doesn’t like getting dressed? Sensory issues with the feel of clothing and labels is quite common for autistic people. I don’t like things with high necklines that touch the front of my neck
