Misconceptions about Autism

I know some people who believe Autism, is a degree of learning disability, learning delays, maybe speech delay, and hyperactivity caused by too much sugar. Are they correct in any of this?

I always carry a copy of: Autism and Asperger Syndrome (The Facts) by Baren-cohen, just in case I need to someone a definitive answer on autism, as it’s small and stow-able.

Perhaps they could get a copy to peruse..
