Misconceptions about Autism

I know some people who believe Autism,  is a degree of learning disability, learning delays, maybe speech delay, and hyperactivity caused by too much sugar. Are they correct in any of this?

  • Autism is a Pervasive Developmental Disorder, characterised by, impaired social-emotional and communicative interaction AND restricted and repetitive behaviours. With symptoms that have been present since early childhood, which limit and impair everyday function; even if they have not been cause for concern, until demands have exceeded capacity..

This is the most-concise I think I can make it, feel free to tear it apart, as I don’t find autism an easy thing to define..Sweat smile
