Teenage boy underpants

My 13 year old so has a real issue with underpants. We haven't found any style he is comfortable wearing and this leafs to a lot of public readjusting. He is not far off 6 foot now and it is very noticeable.

We need to find him underpants he won't be embarrassed wearing in the changing rooms in school but they need to hold him in place and be comfortable for him.

Any suggestions?

  • Is it possible to work out a plan it’s the school, about letting him off the whole changing-room situation, owing to psychological-distress caused by his anxiety surrounding his reasonable-adjustments (that being the type of clothing he requires, as opposed to the ‘adjustments’ that he literally makes in public).
Then you could buy him the underwear that he is comfortable with, as the school with not be able to argue with social-policy, if the social-policy of having to attend the changing-room is degrading and distressing to your son.

  • I have had problems with seams being uncomfortable in underwear. I found Sloggi briefs to be the most comfortable (they do various styles) but they all have very flat comfortable seams and no intrusive labels.

  • I don't know if this is helpful at all but I've always worn briefs. I've never adjusted well to boxers - I tried on a few occasions and they weren't comfortable.

As long as they're the right size you're good. I did get the odd comment in the PE changing rooms about why I'm wearing 'panty-liners' (!) but I did what felt comfortable.
