wondered if anyone could help. Weve applied for a state,ent based on the school not providing for ours sons needs. He has no iep, we asked for ed psych, nothing. He has seen a physio who told the. He needs to use a screen after a side of a4 they havent done this. We asked for sen code of practise, never anything sent. Apparently he doesnt need help because his behaviours is good in school? We questioned his levels as they are saying he is very high, he went up a whole level in reading in half a term last year? To be frank his reading is awful. I looked up the levels assessment criteria and he was nowhere near that level.
the county council have said he needs no statement as he is making good probress at school. This is exactly what we questioned and gave evidence for. They said that the professionals "school" have said he is fine. (Bangs head) and when i questioned them they didnt respond to the question just moved onto the next.
Anyone got any idea if ican appeal this decision? Theyve reccomended school action plus? What is this please
