Our 14yo son has very recently been involved with criminal activity - mainly theft and mischief. He is on a youth program where he is expected to meet some goals as part of taking accountability for his actions. This is hard for him. He does not display any remorse and blames others for everything. He is now unable to access school or spend any time with his family. He stays out all day and hides in his room when at home. He is not eating well, sleeping or showering. We are very worried about him.
He does not have a diagnosis despite our best efforts, but we believe he is PDA. Our son is declining in front of us and we feel so helpless. We are from the UK but not living there at the moment. If we return to the uk, what support is available for PDA teens involved in the justice system?
We would be grateful for any advice.
