Young Adult needing help

Hi All

I'm a newby, but looking for help for my son!

My son, 26, is very isolated and depressed. He has no friends, no social life and sends all his time sleeping or gaming in his room. I feel for him and desperatly want him to join some groups with other young adults that understand his condition and like-minded, but I just cannot find anything. Would anyone know of anything in the Cardiff area please?

  • Hi. This sounds exactly the same as my son. He was diagnosed at 29 in January. He too spends all his time in his bedroom gaming and watching tv. He was bullied badly at school and even now he has no friends. We live in Kent and have tried to find any social groups to enable him to meet some new people who are like himself. X I don’t suppose this has helped at all but I just wanted to let you know that I’m in exactly the same position and totally understand how you feel. I hope you find a group for your son.
